Taiwan visit: Blessing the Karma Kagyu Monastery
Day 4: Taiwan, 1 December 2014. After three full days of activities, blessings, and ceremonies, today was the last day that Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, would spend at the Karma Kagyu Monastery. Before leaving, however, Karmapa visited each area of the monastery and blessed every building and shrine.
Accompanied by the hosting Rinpoches and lamas, Karmapa offered a silk scarf to the large Amitabha Buddha statue in front of the monastery. When it was time to leave, a crowd of well-wishers offered ceremonial silk scarves and waved off the motorcade as Karmapa was driven to Taipei.
