Public Meditation Course 2024: photos (cont.)
During the second part of this year’s Public Meditation Course at the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute (KIBI), Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, continued to lead daily practice sessions based on the Sadhana of the Four-Armed-Chenresig. He also gave the gathered students plenty of opportunity to ask him questions on a wide variety of topics.
As a special highlight, on the 8th of December Karmapa granted the empowerment of Avalokiteshvara (Tib. Chenresig), the wisdom aspect embodying the enlightened compassion of all Buddhas, to the practitioners assembled in KIBI’s shrine room.
Throughout the meditation course, Karmapa also met with various groups and students from various regions of the Himalayas as well as different Western countries.
Ven. Drubpon Nyigyam Rinpoche, Ven. Khenpo Tsering Samdrup, and Ven. Khenpo Chochok also continued their daily practice and teaching sessions during the remaining days of the course.
