Kagyu Monlam 2023: Last days
During the final days of the Kagyu Monlam, Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, continued to lead aspiration prayers at the Maha Bodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya.
On the 19th of December Karmapa granted the empowerment of Buddha Amitayus, one of the wisdom aspects of longevity, to a gathering of thousands of practitioners at Karma Temple.
The final day of the 2023 Kagyu Monlam concluded in a joyful atmosphere under the Bodhi Tree with the recitation of auspicious prayers amidst a rain of flowers.
During the entire Kagyu Monlam, Karmapa received many Rinpoches, lamas and representatives of various Dharma communities, and gave blessing to countless individuals and groups of both monastic and lay practitioners, who came to see him at Karma Temple.
Karmapa departed Bodhgaya on the morning of the 22nd of December for New Delhi.
