Nepal Earthquake: Karmapa to lead prayers on Vesak

On Vesak, the day that marks the birth, enlightenment and passing of Buddha, Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, will lead prayers at the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute (KIBI) for all those affected by the Nepal earthquake.

Together with an assembly of monastic Sangha, Karmapa will lead a grand prayer of praise for Buddha, as well as a Chenresig meditation and lamp offerings.
